Welcome to the Houston Roughneck Tour (HRT), where the love for golf meets the thrill of competition. Founded in 2023 by a passionate group of 12 golfers, the HRT was born out of a desire to create a unique and inclusive platform for golfers in the Houston area . From its humble beginnings, the tour has quickly evolved into a dynamic and vibrant community, welcoming players of all skill levels.

The HRT offers an unparalleled golfing experience for players of all skill levels. With a handicap system that levels the playing field, every golfer has an equal opportunity to showcase their talents and compete on a world class golf tour. Our season comprises 14 thrilling tournaments, including 10 regular season events, 4 of which are majors. From the Team Championship to the HRT Playoff Cup and an All-Star tournament, there's no shortage of opportunities to test your skills. Competitors have the chance to win money, trophies, and legendary golfing status, including coveted prizes such as the Green Jacket, custom gold-plated championship belts, Gulf Coast Open Cup and many more.

How it works
16 players compete for points throughout the season, much like the FedEx Cup in professional golf. These points are earned based on performance in each tournament, with higher finishes resulting in more points. The top 8 players at the end of the season will advance to the HRT Playoff Cup. The points for each tournament will vary, which i

These points are earned based on performance in each tournament, with higher finishes resulting in more points. The top 8 players at the end of the season will advance to the HRT Playoff Cup. The points for each tournament will vary, which is based on the tournament being a Major, elevated event, or a regular event.
The HRT also offers a team aspect, which is comprised of 8 teams of 2. Teams will earn points each week based on combined net scores and the team with the lowest net score is crowned the champion. At the end of the regular season, the top 5 teams will be given an advantage going into the Team Championship which is a team scramble to determine the HRT Team Champion.
